Schöner Stadtcampingplatz in zentraler Lage, trotzdem ruhig. Ortsmitte ist fussläufig zu erreichen. Die Sanitäranlagen sind ausreichend und sauber.
Stellplatzgrösse ausreichend für unser Wohnmobil.
Untergrund (insbesondere bei Regen) und Pflegezustand des Platzes lassen noch Luft nach oben.

Ebene Stellfläche, sehr ruhig.
Leider hat man vergessen uns den Schlüssel für die Küche und die Sanitäranlagen zu geben. Beim Auschecken wollte man dann den Schlüssel haben welchen wir nie bekommen haben. Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt wussten wir nicht das es inklusive war. Nach Diskussion dann aber ausgescheckt.

Très agréable WE au calme en cette fin septembre 2024. Nous avons même pu profiter des jeux pour enfants et de la terrasse !
Mieux indiquer la sortie du camping en bout d'allées
Logement propre, spacieux et agréable.
Pistes d'amélioration : le sol du bungalow est abîmé au niveau du salon ; guide des actions au départ du mobil home (ménage, vaisselle, draps...) ; prévoir une éponge et un essui mains pour la cuisine...

Great location and a wonderful camping site. The staff are welcoming and efficient with a quick booking in process. Having an account helps here and I'd recommend having one. The site is in walking distance of the town where there are plenty of places to eat, drink and relax. There is plenty of culture as well. Don't forget the river. So much to see and do.
Plenty of space and choice when we visited. The unisex facilities were clean and tidy.

Only found 1 fresh water tap near us and this was at the motorhome service point. The wc emptying point tap and fresh water tap are close together and I saw someone washing out their cassette with the wrong tap. A separate clean water tap would much improve hygiene.

Location is excellent, toilets and showers clean, pitch a good size and mostly grass. Welcoming staff in reception. Good facilities. Overall an excellent site which I have visited many times previously.
The restaurant menu was limited to a buffet of hot meat and fish stews with cold sides - coleslaw, shredded carrots etc, unfortunately not to my taste. Lamb was neck and probably not cooked long enough as very chewy. Saffron chicken was excellent. I would have preferred a wider choice of food such as burgers /pizza. The chef and staff were welcoming. A notice in the shower block said to remove footwear before entering the shower area, which I did. Good idea but doesn’t work as other people left muddy footprints on the tiles that I had to avoid after showering, resulting in gritty feet!

Quiet popular site out of season. Average cleanliness of showers and toilets.
Pitches are untidy with low overhanging and overgrown huge trees which let no sunlight in.

Campsite ideally placed to visit Saumur. Very helpful staff with a choice of pitches available, all of a good size. Lots of activities available and the pool was super.
